Prague‘s beautiful medieval town centre is stunning. Awash with cobbled streets, striking architecture and gothic churches, all overlooked by a magnificent 1,000 year old fortress, the city really is a joy to behold. Once home to emperors and Bohemian kings, whose legacy still remains, there is plenty to explore. Join a sightseeing tour for a historical experience, or take to the water on a spectacular cruise on the river Vlatava and pass under majestic Charles Bridge. Head to Wenceslas Square, the bustling centre for Prague’s vibrant nightlife, and sample the famous Czech beer at one of the many bars and pubs that litter the area. Prague is also an excellent base from which to explore the various castle and spa towns close by, such as Karlstejn and Karlovy Vary.
