Explore the beauty of Northern Ireland on a fascinating day out to the famed Antrim coast with its spectacular seascapes and highlights including the famous coastal landscape of the Giant’s Causeway. Departing from Dublin Connolly station, you will take the train to the capital of Northern Ireland, Belfast ( light breakfast available on board) . On arrival in Belfast, you will cross the famous Antrim Coast road past the lovely Glens of Antrim en route to Ballycastle and the Carrick-a-rede rope bridge. Please note the rope bridge is only open from March through October. From here you can view the Scottish coast on a clear day. You will then continue to the stunning Giant’s Causeway, an area of about 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, the result of an ancient volcanic eruption.
It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986 and has been named by some as the 4th greatest natural wonder in the United Kingdom! After a photo stop at Dunluce Castle, it is time to head back to Belfast to board your train to Dublin arriving back at Connolly station at 22.15pm.
