A familiar site to Parisians is the dazzling white Basilica of the Sacred Heart (Sacre Couer) situated on the top of the hill of Montmartre. Towards the end of the 19th century, numerous artists (Van Gogh, Renoir, Picasso, etc.) settled here with their families to enjoy the simple and peaceful country life and created an artists colony. You will also see the famous Louvre Museum, where you are fast tracked through the long queues, and will be able to see the famous and enigmatic Mona Lisa, Da Vinci’s masterpiece.
The excursion includes: A ride up to Montmartre by coach and funicular, a guided walking tour of the village and Place du Tertre, and time to visit the Basilica of the Sacred Heart.
At the Louvre, you will skip the line and enjoy a guided visit lasting more than one hour. Amongst the many works of art you will see the Venus of Milo, the Winged Victory and Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.
