Description

Enjoy a whistle stop panoramic tour of the Roman countryside, beginning with Albano, the historical town of Albalonga, a modern village which looks across the ancient volcanic Lake. Take in Castelgandolfo, the summer residence of the Pope. Marvel at Ariccia, a small village once isolated high in the mountains but is now easily reached by a large bridge constructed by Pope Pio IX. Discover Genzano, the birthplace of Marco Antonio Colonna, the famous General of the battle of Lepanto in 1571. Take in Grottoferrata with its Millenary Monastery founded on the ruins of an old roman villa. We will stop at Frascati, famous for the production of white wine. From the height of 400 metres, enjoy the breathtaking landscape views.
