Impressions Gallery
Established in 1972 as one of the first specialist photographic galleries in Europe we have grown to become one of the UK's leading independent venues for contemporary photography. Since our inception, we have supported and encouraged artists who have challenged and changed photography.
Art Gallery have been instrumental in expanding peoples' perceptions and understanding of photography and played a vital part in raising the status of the art form.

By rail and bus
Bradford Interchange is five minutes walk away from Impressions Gallery, with rail, bus and taxi services all under one roof. Bradford Interchange is only a 20-minute direct journey from Leeds station with links to the rest of the country.
Bradford Interchange will also begin running a direct service to London Kings Cross from Summer 2010, via Wakefield and Doncaster.
By Car
Centenary Square is two miles from the motorway network. From the M62, take junction 26, joining the M606, which will bring you to Bradford. Then follow directions to the city centre where brown heritage signs will direct you to City Hall.
Car parking is available at the rear of the National Media Museum on Sharpe Street, and at the NCP car park on Hall Ings close to the Interchange. Charges apply.
Disabled parking for blue badge holders is available immediately outside the Town Hall on both Norfolk Gardens and Channing Way. Blue badge holders can park at these locations for an unlimited time period.
Access
Impressions Gallery is fully accessible via a lift situated in our main entrance. There is wheelchair access to all public areas.
The Gallery has a toilet equipped with disabled facilities.
An induction hearing loop is available.
Large print information and/or interpretation is available within the gallery.
Disabled parking for blue badge holders is available immediately outside the Town Hall.
Physical access
The entrance to Impressions Gallery is at street level and power assisted doors are in operation at our main entrance.
Impressions Gallery is on the first floor and there is a passenger lift to the first floor within the entrance area.
There are accessible toilets on the first floor, plus an additional separate disabled toilet.
Baby changing facilities are available in both male and female toilets.
Access for visually impaired visitors
There are large print guides (in a font size of 17 points) in the galleries to give you more information about the works on display.
Guide dogs are welcome.
Access for hearing impaired visitors
An induction loop is fitted at the Welcome Desk and portable hearing loops are available for tours, talks and other events in the galleries.
