Discover the Catacombs, the ancient Roman underground cemeteries that has been used by the Christian and the Jewish community for burial at Rome. Enter the burial chamber  that are dated back in to the second century. Rome has 120 kilometers of total Catacombs and some of the catacombs are 20 kilometers long. Visit Cecilia Metella's Tomb that was built for the noble woman Cecilia along the Appian Way. Most of the Catacombs are located in the suburbs of the city because the Roman law forbade to bury the dead within the walls of the city.
