Description

Departing from Bournemouth Pavilion at 9am (check-in at 8:45am), you will board the luxury air-conditioned coach for a trip to the magical and mysterious Stonehenge, followed by the 9-mile journey for a visit to Salisbury where you can opt to enter the Cathedral or have free time in the medieval cathedral city in the southern English county of Wiltshire. Your day will end at approximately 5:30pm when you will arrive back at Bournemouth Pavilion with memories that will last a long time.

Stonehenge
Situated on the Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, you will arrive at Stonehenge at approx. 11:30am after travelling on the luxury air-conditioned coach. Stonehenge is full of mystery. How did the outer ring of vertical stones, each around 13 feet high, seven feet wide, and weighing around 25 tons get there and how was the structure formed? This will be your opportunity to decide, whilst you visit one of the most famous sites in the UK, if not the world. Your entry to see the stones is included in the price of your ticket.

Salisbury
Salisbury sits just 9 miles from Stonehenge but is a popular and famous destinations of its own for many reasons, most famous of all, is the Anglican Cathedral, the mother church of the Diocese of Salisbury and is the seat of the Bishop of Salisbury. Construction was started in 1220. It’s now home to the best preserved copy of the 1215 Magna Carta and a must-see when visiting. The Magna Carta is a royal charter of rights agreed to by King John of England at Runnymede, near Windsor, on 15 June 1215.

The cost of entry to the Cathedral is included in the price of your ticket, however you can opt to remove entry and enjoy the city instead. Perhaps grab a pub lunch, take a walk around and see the sites, hit the shops, or have afternoon tea. We will depart Salisbury at 4pm for the journey back to Bournemouth.
