Make your own way to Paddington Station and meet a Golden Tours representative who will be standing outside the National Rail ticket office in front of Platform 1. Your train departs from Paddington at 8.30am, so make sure you arrive by 8.00am to meet the representative and board the train. Explore Gloucester and visit Gloucester Cathedral
Once you arrive in Gloucester, you can spend the day discovering the exquisite city at your own pace. You could stroll through cobbled streets and past ancient buildings before indulging in a spot of retail therapy in the pedestrianised shopping precinct. The Victorian Docks are also a lovely place to take a walk and you can visit one of the museums or unique stores located on the water.

Your day trip to Gloucester includes entry to Gloucester Cathedral, a towering Norman church dating back to 1089. Enter inside the cathedral and view some of its many highlights, including the gorgeous stained glass windows. This colourful glass was added to the cathedral over hundreds of years between the 14th and 20th centuries. It’s some of the best example of stained glass in England!

Other must-see parts of Gloucester Cathedral include the Crypt, Treasury and Norman Font sculpture.
