Between Putney and Mortlake
The historic Oxford V Cambridge Boat Race first began in 1829 and has been held annually on the River Thames since 1856 (with the exception of the World Wars). The race can be seen along the banks of the Thames, both north and south of the river and it’s a great spectator sport for the whole family.

With plenty of family friendly pubs overlooking the river, there should also be special events on the banks of the river for those who want to cheer along. The last question is – who will you be supporting?
