This colourful celebration in 2016 marks the momentous occasion of the Queen’s 90th birthday – the central event to what will be a national period of celebration in the UK (the nation’s pubs will even open a few hours later in honour of Her Majesty!).

The Trooping the Colour ceremony is filled with military pomp, pageantry and ceremonial gunfire. The Queen inspects the troops of the Household Division, leads them down the Mall towards Buckingham Palace, before taking a seat with the rest of the Royal Family to watch the RAF fly past.
