Early June, 2015 my family of four took this tour to Warwick, Stratford-On-Avon and Oxford with tour guide Peter and driver Benson. I had to write a review because this was one of our best tours during our trip - made mostly by the excellent tour guide and driver who kept us entertained and amused. Peter speaks clearly and was easy for us as American English speakers to understand. He was funny, informative and quoted Shakespeare beautifully making us non- Shakespeare enthusiasts interested in visiting the birthplace of this writer. The interaction between the driver and the guide was brilliant - they are like long-time buddies who work exceptionally well together with the driver getting involved in the presentation as well. Wish we had a bit more time at Warwick as there was only time to take a short (10 min) tour and walk through the castle rooms. There was no other time for scheduled showa at the castle like a Bow & Arrow show, a trebuchet show, bird of prey show... but I guess if you are interested you can go back on your own. Stratford-On-Avon was interesting, but as non-enthusiasts we were glad we stopped but didn't need more time. Oxford was very interesting and Peter's walking tour of part of the grounds with time to shop was excellent. I'd highly recommend asking for Peter and Benson for your tour time if you can be flexible on when you go.

My friend Amira and I went on a trip to OXford, Cotswolds and Stratfor-Upon Avon on the 8th of December 2014 with Pete the guide and Martin the driver. It was so much fun really; quite an unforgettable day Pete was so knowledgeable and fuuny. He recited so much of Shakespeare's poetry and made the whole trip to the latter's birthplace real and worthy. He was also so patient and helpful with everyone. Martin was such a good driver. All in all we had so much fun. That was my second trip with the Golden Tours. The first was during the summer when I took my son and went to the Harry Potter studios. It was a good trip as well. Nicely enough, I had a 10% percent discount over my second trip because of the first one!

I've booked 2-3 local trips with Golden Tours for my UK trip on October 2013. So happy with very good pick-up service at my hotel, so convenient for me. Staffs and tour leader "Pete" (for my Oxford trip) are all polite and full of knowledge. I will recommend it to my friends and will join Golden Tours again for my next UK trip.

Ruth was a wonderful guide to Avon, Cotswald, Oxford, and Warwick Castle. She knew the history, flavoured the stories with "fun facts" about the English language, and offered personal experience to the visit to Oxford. She was energetic, loved her job, and was very patient with the multi-languaged tour group.

I had an amazing time, the only reason I'm giving this tour a three stars is because I didn't really see the point in Warwick castle. I would have rather spent more time in Oxford and Stratford Upon Avon, but that's just me. Our guide was knowledgeable was entertaining and really you cant go wrong exploring the UK. A bit of advise, don't book the pre-booked lunch. You only have a limited time in each place and wasting an hour on a pre-booked sit down lunch isn't worth it. There are plenty of places to eat in Oxford before you get back on the bus, which is what I did, or in Stratford Upon Avon. This way you get the maximum amount of time to explore and enjoy the sites.

We took a Golden Tour to Warwick Castle, Stratford-on-Avon and Oxford. There were 5 of us (parents, 2 teen-agers, one child) and everyone loved it. Our guide, Geoff, was fun and knowledgeable. Our driver, Amish, (so sorry if that’s spelled wrong) did a phenomenal job driving. We did feel a little rushed at Warwick Castle, but I attribute that to having 3 boys who love medieval history and therefore they had to look at EVERYTHING. For most families, I think it would have probably been an adequate amount of time. Stratford-on-Avon was wonderful, as was Oxford - a great day for everyone in our party. We will definitely use Golden Tours again!

I really enjoyed the tour of Oxford, Stratford and Cotswolds. First we were driven to Oxford and gained entry to Christ Church college and shown the Great Hall where Harry Potter's hall was built after. The staircases are reminiscent of the movie as well. I felt we spent enough time in Oxford. Next we were taken to Bourton-on-the-Water which was an amazing town in the Cotswolds that I will visit again in future. We were pleasantly surprised to find that we were stopping in the village and could walk around at leisure to eat or shop or take photos. We did all three :) We had enough time in the village but I would definitely stay longer in that area in future for a few nights as it's a really lovely town. We were taken to Shakespeare's family home in Stratford-upon-Avon and we could walk around the rooms as we pleased, not confined to a guide showing us around which was nice. The house is amazing, and so is the garden. In the garden there were actors re-doing a scene from one of Shakespeare's plays which was cute. You could gather around to watch them. There was also a lady in Shakespeare's family bedroom where the parents and children slept who was dressed in traditional 16th Century clothes explaining the history behind the house and the use of all the items, furniture and materials - she was amazing! The tour overall was good value for money and since we had limited time and it was unreasonable to hire a car to see each place ourselves it was great we had someone to take us around and give us a bit of historical insight into the areas as well.

What a great day. We did this tour on June 6 with Tony Matthews as our guide and Max as our driver. What a great team. Tony was a wealth of information, courteous and always on the ball. And we felt perfectly safe with Max at the wheel. The pick up process was well organised and Tony ensured we all knew the best point to be dropped off at the end of the day. The tour is well organised and covers many points of interest. Tony certainly knows his facts and we were constantly surprised at the things we learnt throughout the day. We would certainly consider another tour in the future. Tony is tops, and Max is marvelous!

Hello out there... At the 18th of may I travelled to Oxford/Stratford/Warwick Castle with Golden Tours. Against some complains from other tours, it was perfect. Our guide Sue did an impressive job with a lot of information without ever getting boring or overdoing it. And she took care of everyone. Everyone was important to her and that was not only because of her job. No, that's just the way she is. For me as a german she represents all the things that make me love british people. Very nice, very polite, very interested in her clients. I have to correct myself... I never felt like a client. I felt like a guest. Every minute of our trip. Together with Alfie, our driver, she formed an excellent team. I would like to write a few words about him too. I could never imagine someone driving through the most heavily traffic imaginable without ever showing any kind of nerve, without loosing his patience. Not even for a second. He was such a secure driver and so calm and grounded and nice, it was perfect. Because of this team, I will surely take another tour with Golden Tours, as soon as I will be in London the next time. I would love to see them again! Thank you Sue and thank you Alfie for the most perfect trip I ever had.
