Up…Up And Away: See What’s Happening To London’s Skyline

London’s skyline has changed an incredible amount in the last few decades. Glossy skyscrapers now grace the capital and once-dominating city landmarks can no longer measure up. Earlier this year, it was reported that there are over 130 tall towers proposed, approved or already under construction in London, each one soaring 20 storeys or more. The current architecture seems to blend the old and the new quite well so far- London’s tallest skyscraper The Shard lit up at night near the equally sparkling Tower Bridge is an amazing view. The sight of these two famous attractions – one built in the Victorian era and one in the 21st century – reminds us how much London has changed over the past 100 years. It seems as though the city of London will soon offer more vertigo-inducing views, adding to The View from The Shard and ArcelorMittal Orbit!
