You’ve received your Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry acceptance letter and the day has finally come for you to transport to the magical institution. But there’s only way to get there – the Hogwarts Express!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n

Harry Potter fans can hop aboard the famous steam train and imagine it\u2019s taking them all the way to Hogwarts!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Enjoy an authentic recreation of Platform 9 \u00be, complete with the luggage trolley disappearing into the platform wall.\u00a0Used for filming throughout the Harry Potter<\/em> series, the red locomotive is a real train and was originally called \u2018Olton Hall\u2019. It transported people across the UK from 1937-1963.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n

The set is built to look like King\u2019s Cross Station, the departure location for trips to Hogwarts! Visitors will also be able to pick up lots of train-themed goodies at the souvenir shop on Platform 9 \u00be and pose for photos in front of the iconic train.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

1. Saying goodbye<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The unforgettable final scene in the Harry Potter<\/em> series sees a grown-up Harry, Ron and Hermione waving off their kids as they start school at Hogwarts. We bid goodbye to the brave threesome, safe in the knowledge that everything eventually turned out ok.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

2. Dementors<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Who can forget the heart-stopping scene where Harry had his first encounter with a Dementor? In\u00a0Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban<\/em>, a Dementor boards the Hogwarts Express and roams the train, causing Harry to faint. Remus Lupin luckily wards the dark force off with a charm.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

3. Meeting for the first time<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

It was\u00a0aboard the Hogwarts Express that Harry, Ron and Hermione met for the first time in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone<\/em>. Harry and Ron bond over their love of food before Hermione struts into their carriage showing off her spells. It seems only fitting then that the final scene of the series takes place in the presence of the famous\u00a0train.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

4. Harry vs Draco<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Harry had a go at eavesdropping on Draco Malfoy and his chums while on the Hogwarts Express in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.\u00a0<\/em>However, it didn’t quite go to plan. Draco realises Harry is hiding under his invisibility cloak before casting a paralysing\u00a0spell and kicking him in the face. Poor Harry!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

5. Hogwarts Express and the flying car<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Ron and Harry nearly had a bit of an accident involving a flying car and\u00a0the Hogwarts Express in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets<\/em>. After missing the train to Hogwarts, Ron ‘borrows’ his dad’s car and they fly alongside the train in an effort to catch up to it. Needless to say, they both got in a bit of trouble with Molly Weasley!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
