Description

Start your guided adventure in Edinburgh’s world-famous Royal Mile before heading north to the magnificent ancient Stirling Castle. Hear tales of the Sterling born outlaw, Rob Roy MacGregor, or the Scottish Robin Hood, on the drive through Rob Roy country and cross Rannoch Moor, a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

Stop at dramatic Glencoe, the scene of the infamous massacre which started on the 13th of February 1692.  We then drive further north, passing through the largest town in the Highlands, Fort William and Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis, on our way to the Great Glen.

Arriving at the south-east banks of Loch Ness, we find Fort Augustus where you’re able to take a boat cruise on the loch and see the famous Loch Ness monster. If looking for monsters is not for you, you have the chance to take a relaxing walk by the Caledonian Canal in this beautiful Highland village.

We then start our return to Edinburgh, passing the 7-mile-long freshwater Loch Laggan before climbing over the Drumochter Pass, the main mountain pass between the northern and southern central Highlands. We then continue south, entering Perthshire, home to Scone Palace and Balhousie Castle. One last spectacular sight before arriving back in Edinburgh, is Forth Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
