Are you staying in London this weekend? There’s so much going on in the city over the next few days, it’s hard to choose where to go! To make it a bit easier, we’ve recommended some of of the best and most fun activities in the capital this weekend.
The London Coffee Festival – Starting today and running until 3rd May, this is the perfect weekend activity for lovers of all things coffee! Everyone knows how important the coffee bean, but what about the water you use? With a packed schedule of talks, demonstrations, art, music and of course, as much caffeine as you can take, this is the ideal energy boost to start an action-packed weekend. When: 30 April – 3 May Where: The Old Truman Brewery. Closest Station: Liverpool Street/Aldgate.
Canalway Cavalcade – If the weather ends up being nice over the weekend, a great outdoor activity is the Canalway Cavalcade in Little Venice. A gathering of all the boaters in London, see the beautiful decorated narrow boats and enjoy traditional English Morris Dancing, food stalls, real-ale stalls and lots of quirky markets stalls selling trinkets. StreetFest – If you’re interested in street art, then London’s Tobacco Dock is the place to be on Sunday. Streetfest has music, live streetart, skateboarding, parkour dance, interactive exhibits and much, much more. It’s a celebration of all things street, whether that be art, music, fashion, dance or sport. When: 3 May Where: Tobacco Dock Closest Station: Shadwell
Traditional May Day Celebrations – Lloyd Park in Walthamstow are holding a May Day celebration on Monday 4th May, there will be may pole dancing, a bouncy castle, food and drink stalls, face painting, Star Wars themed fancy dress (May the 4th be with you) and a dog show! When: 4 May Where: Lloyd Park Closest Station: Walthamstow Central
