Birmingham to Stratford Return
Departing from either Birmingham Snow Hill or Birmingham Moor Street, the Shakespeare Express travels at express speeds of up to 75 mph to the market town of Stratford-upon-Avon. Famous throughout the world as the birthplace of William Shakespeare, this stunning town is home to many popular sights including Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, Holy Trinity Church, Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. With 5 hours of sightseeing time, you’ll have plenty to see and do before your train leaves for Birmingham.
Birmingham to Stratford Return Pullman Class
Why not upgrade your travel with glamourous seats in the first-class carriage. The world-famous Pullman offers an experience like no other with delicious food and drink on your morning and afternoon journeys. Once the train departs Birmingham, you’ll enjoy a Full English Breakfast with grilled bacon, Cumberland sausages, scrambled eggs, portobello mushrooms, plum tomatoes, baked beans, buttered Granary toast, preserves, tea and coffee. Stratford to Birmingham: The Sunday Lunch
Boarding at Stratford-upon-Avon, take a seat in your 1950s or 1960s chair for a 2.5-hour journey through the stunning Warwickshire countryside. As you admire the views, you’ll enjoy a 3-course lunch of smoked salmon & caper salad with a lemon and dill dressing, roast sirloin of beef, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and a red wine jus. To complete your lunch, you’ll indulge in a tarte au citron with blackcurrant compote and Chantilly cream and tea and coffee. Your journey will include a 30-minute pause in Birmingham, where you will remain on the train, before returning to Stratford.
