Visit the castle to find out why royals have lived here for centuries and to see the lavish State Apartments, St George’s Chapel and the Changing of the Guard ceremony.

Windsor Castle
Thursday to Monday, 10:00 with last admission at 15:30. Windsor Castle is closed every Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Semi-State Rooms at Windsor Castle will not open in October as scheduled this year.
St. George’s Chapel is closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day. Worshippers are welcome to attend the services.
Windsor Castle closures: As Windsor Castle is a working royal palace, sometimes the entire Castle or the State Apartments within the Castle need to be closed at short notice.
