Paradise Wildlife Park
Paradise Wildlife Park, the UK’s most interactive zoo. Get up close to our animals, including tigers, lions, monkeys, zebras, camels, penguins and many more. What makes Paradise unique is the fact you can touch and feed many of animals.
Going back over 50 years to the early 1960's you would have found a very different Zoo located on the current site of Paradise Wildlife Park. Broxbourne Zoo, as it was then known, was privately owned by Cyril Stamp up to the mid 70s and then Peter Phipps to 1984. Unfortunately a day out at Broxbourne Zoo was remembered for very different reasons to those attributed to a day out at Paradise Wildlife Park.
The work the Sampsons had put into the Park finally paid off in July 1985 when East Herts District Council granted a zoo licence. Subsequently the official re-opening of the site under the new name ‘Paradise Park and Woodland Zoo' took place in Easter 1986.
The changing of the sites name to ‘Paradise Wildlife Park' signalled a new beginning of an increasingly brighter future for the site. The new Millennium has witnessed a continuation in the improvements to Paradise Wildlife Park. New enclosures for Meerkats, Otters, Brazilian Tapir, Red Panda and European Wolves have been assembled. The ARC (Animal Resource Centre) is a fantastic new development which houses a veterinary and recovery room, animal food preparation areas, an animal records and research room, and impressive staff facilities.
A new Snow Leopard enclosure has been added which has been followed in 2009 by the arrival of the cutest baby Snow Leopard you will ever see. A major success has been the introduction of White Lions to the park, they are highly endangered with none currently left in the wild but this year at Paradise Wildlife Park there has been huge excitement as they have managed to rear two gorgeous baby White Lion Cubs.
The addition of a White Tiger to the collection of Big Cats has been another amazing success.
If you are a fan of birds and flying displays you will love Paradise's brand new ‘Birds of Paradise Arena'
Major addition has been an enclosure for Humboldt Penguins! Since their introduction they have been a star attraction at the park, be sure to catch their feeding sessions throughout the day.
Paradise has a brand new collection of Lemurs, again equipped with awesome new enclosures.
The Park has recently opened the new Discovery Centre dedicated to the provision of education and corporate events. It is fully equipped with audio-visual, sound, plasma screens, three classrooms, flip charts, kitchens, boardrooms, meeting rooms and offices. It also has an induction loop in the classrooms and access for wheelchairs.

Terms & Conditions
-Standing orders must have the first 3 months payment paid in advance prior to the start of the standing order
-Minimum 12 months contract
-Season Tickets are valid for 12 months from initial payment
-*Park access is limited to normal opening hours which excludes Christmas day
-A valid Season Ticket must be produced upon entry
-Season Tickets are non-interchangeable and non-transferable
