Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archeology

English capital is also home to some of the world-class museums. The Petrie Museum, located within University College London, is one of the largest and most fascinating collections of Egyptian archaeology anywhere in the world. There are over 80,000 artifacts showing the development of Egyptian culture, technology and daily life from prehistoric to Roman times. The collection includes the world's earliest surviving garment, a dress of around 2800BC. You'll find the museum which is open to the public on the first floor of the DMS Watson library. Every year millions of tourist visit London and enjoy the London tourist attractions. London Hop on Hop off Bus Tours passes through the famous sights of London and gives the freedom to its visitors to see the top London places at leisure.

The museum houses the world’s largest collection of Roman period mummy portraits (first to second centuries AD).
More than these highlights, though, the collection is uniquely important because so much of it comes from documented excavations. The large typological series of objects (amulets, faience, objects of daily use, tools and weapons, weights and measures, stone vessels, jewellery) provide a unique insight into how people have lived and died in the Nile Valley.
