The InterAction Gallery invites visitors to enter the world of marine technology, designed to spark the imagination of all members of the family.  Twenty-seven exciting activities bring you an astronaut’s view of the world, the science behind propulsion, state of the art satellite communications and making radio waves. Understand why the moon affects the tides and discover the amazing Magic Plant© which can show moving global climate and temperature patterns around the Earth – and beyond!

MARY ROSE:
The existing Mary Rose Museum, located right by the entrance to the Historic Dockyard, will remain open until 2012. Having been nationally recognised as a ‘Family Friendly Museum’, this attraction is a must-see in its own right.

Visitors can view the exceptional collection of thousands of personal, domestic and military objects in the Mary Rose Museum.  What’s more we have a new introductory film, specially narrated by TV historian Dan Snow, new exhibits, enhanced displays and a personal interpretation of the ship by experienced guides guarantees that you will really enjoy your visit.

The Mary Rose was one of the earliest ships to carry heavy guns.  She was a favourite of King Henry VIII and  sank off Portsmouth in 1545 during an engagement with a French invasion fleet, in full view of the King, the screams of the men onboard, ringing in his ears.

HMS VICTORY:
HMS Victory is the Royal Navy's most famous warship.
She is the world's oldest commissioned ship and a proud memorial to Vice Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson, Britain's greatest Naval hero.
The hull of the Mary Rose is currently withdrawn from public view as part of a £35 million heritage project to build an internationally-renowned museum.

NATIONAL NAVY MUSEUM:
Founded in 1911, the National Museum of the Royal Navy is one of country’s leading maritime museums and is the only museum devoted to the ships of the Royal Navy and the men and women who served in them.
Visitors can see, touch, hear and even smell the history of the Royal Navy through a rich collection of artefacts and award-winning permanent exhibitions.

THE DOCKYARD APPRENTICE:
The Dockyard Apprentice tells the story of Dockyard life in 1911, when the great Dreadnought battleships were being constructed.

HARBOUR TOURS:
A Harbour Tour takes 45 minutes and enables visitors to enjoy fascinating views across the harbour whilst listening to a lively commentary.
Please note that Harbour Tours may not operate every day during the winter months.

No. 6 CINEMA:
The cinema, which is managed and programmed by Simon Middleton and Siri Finess, has a policy of screening world cinema's best new and recent releases, together with cult and classic movies in a spectacular 275 seat auditorium.
The relaunched No6. Cinema now boasts a selection of refreshments including wine as well as soft drinks. Also for sale will be a selection of second hand books and classic film posters chosen by Simon and Siri.

THE TRAFALGAR EXPERIENCE:
The Trafalgar Experience in the Royal Naval Museum's Victory Gallery, captures the heat of battle on October 21st 1805, immortalised as the day that Nelson led the British fleet to victory but also the day he paid the ultimate price – with his life.

Opening Times
The Historic Dockyard opens at 10am everyday throughout the year, except when closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

April - October
Last  tickets to the attractions are sold at 4.30pm and the Dockyard gates are closed at 6.00pm.

November - March
Last tickets to the attractions are sold at 4.00pm and the Dockyard gates are closed at 5.30pm.
