Famous for its outstanding Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings, the collection in fact reaches from the early Renaissance to Modernist works of the 20th century. The Courtauld Gallery Exhibition display explores some of the exceptional new additions to The Courtauld's collection since it moved to Somerset House twenty years ago. Highlights include works ranging from Turner and Constable to Ingres, Degas and Seurat. The show also unveils one of the most important new acquisitions, Joshua Reynolds's late masterpiece Cupid and Psyche. 
 
The Courtauld Gallery offers a wide range of gallery talks and events to take part in; from monthly Curators Talks, to Sunday Talks to weekday Lunchtime Gallery Talks. Lunchtime Gallery Talks are delivered by students and researchers at The Courtauld Institute of Art on works in the collection. The Sunday Talks that take place during the temporary exhbitions are delivered by post-graduate and research students from The Courtauld Institute of Art. The Sunday Talks vary in content encompassing aspects of the temporary exhibition and other works from the collection where relevant.
 
Art history short courses and events are offered by The Courtauld Public Programmes for anyone with an interest in art - young people and school teachers, returning scholars and the general public. The Courtauld Gallery runs an exciting programme of arts education for Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, Colleges of Further Education and higher. The Courtauld Gallery also includes multimedia.Step into ‘The Virtual Courtauld Gallery’ and inspect our iconic masterpieces close up.  Podcasts and films offer insights into the Gallery’s world-renowned collection and its most recent exhibitions.

The Gallery will be closing at 16.00 (last admission 15.30) on Monday 5 July 2010, due to The Courtauld Institute of Art's annual graduation ceremony.
