Combined with most famous London attractions of Changing of Guards at Buckingham Palace this Queen's Gallery is the best way to understand the royal life and style. Constructed 40 years ago out of the bomb-damaged ruins of the former private chapel, the Queen's Gallery at Buckingham Palace provides a year-round display space for works of art from the Royal Collection. In addition to the Treasures of the Royal Collection there are temporary exhibitions themed around pieces within the collection. The Queen’s Gallery at Buckingham Palace is a permanent space dedicated to changing exhibitions of items from the Royal Collection, the wide-ranging collection of art and treasures held in trust by The Queen for the Nation.

Ticket information

Pre-booking for The Queen’s Gallery is strongly advised. A small number of tickets is held back for sale on the day. These tickets are available from the ticket desks at the Gallery from 09:30 on a strictly 'first come, first served' basis and are for one of the timed admissions that day.

By train:
London Victoria. (National Rail Enquiries Service 08457 484950 (UK)).


By Underground:
Victoria, Green Park, and Hyde Park Corner.

By bus:
Numbers 11, 211, C1 and C10 stop on Buckingham Palace Road.

By road:

The Queen's Gallery is situated within the London Congestion Charge zone.


Audio tours and guidebooks
An audio tour for Victoria & Albert: Art & Love is included in the ticket price.  An exhibition catalogue can be purchased in the shop.


Visitor Information:

Lavatory facilities are available, including toilets suitable for wheelchair-users. Baby care rooms are also provided.
Photography and filming are not permitted in The Queen's Gallery. Mobile phones must be switched off inside the building.
Food and drink are not available for purchase at The Queen's Gallery.
The shop sells a wide range of merchandise, much of which has been designed exclusively for the Royal Collection.
Family activities
