A trip to Ireland wouldn’t be complete without taking in the beautiful sights of the North. Belfast, the capital city, is filled with beautiful scenery, architecture and a rich and compelling history – this is your chance to soak all of it up in one day.
Leaving from Dublin, travel through the gorgeous Irish countryside before first stopping off at the Celtic crosses at Monasterboice in County Louth. Wander through the ruins of the early Christian settlement, seeing crosses that date from the 10th century and two churches that date to around the 14th century. See architecture from early medieval Ireland and see Muiredach’s High Cross.
Next, arrive in Belfast where you have free time of about two hours which you can spend shopping or perhaps having a traditional Ulster lunch. You also have the optional extra of a black cab tour of the capital. Learn about the customs and traditions on the North, the interesting history of the city and see some of the beautiful architecture.
The tour includes entry to the amazing Titanic Experience. Learn about the legendary vessel that was built and launched in Belfast. Starting from the ships conception in the early 1900s, through to the construction, first voyage and infamous demise and leading right up to the re-discovery of the vessel, preserved so beautifully under the water for all those years, the museum is the most enthralling and comprehensive exhibition on Titanic in the world.
