Description
Starting in the heart of Edinburgh city centre, you will depart through the bustling streets, passing iconic sights before heading north into the historic Scottish Highlands for the epic Glenfinnan, Fort William & Glencoe tour.
Pausing in Callander – the gateway to the Highlands, before continuing to Glencoe. A well-known and well-documented area, Glen features in a range of films from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban to James Bond’s Skyfall. Your expert guide will share interesting facts and stories about the area as you pose for photos against the stunning backdrop.
Travelling along the banks of Loch Linnhe to Fort William, you will spy Britain’s tallest mountain, Ben Nevis. You will stop in the town for a lunch break before continuing to the Glenfinnan Viaduct.
Historic and beautiful, the Glenfinnan Viaduct is a must-see item for anyone travelling to the Scottish Highlands. Surrounded by the stunning shores of Loch Shiel, you will see why the area was chosen to feature in the Harry Potter film series. The location is also famous for the Jacobite Steam Train that draws in crowds from all over the world to watch it go by.
As you take in the views of the viaduct and snap a few photos, you will visit the nearby Glenfinnan Monument, which symbolises one of the most important events in Scottish history – the 1745 Jacobite uprising.
Departing Glenfinnan, you will begin your return to Edinburgh with a stop along the way in the small village of Pitlochry. Stretch your legs, grab something to eat and drink and enjoy the rest of the bus ride back to the capital.
