Description
The magic awaits at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter!
Make your way to Gare du Nord Station to begin your journey, and enjoy reserved seats on the Eurostar. On arrival at St Pancras International, you'll be met by a member of the Golden Tours team, who will escort you to the Studio departure point near King's Cross Station.
Travel to the Studio aboard a Warner Bros. branded bus, where Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone will be shown during the journey to get you in the spirit.
The Sets
Explore some of the original sets from the Harry Potter films, including the Forbidden Forest, entered through gates guarded by masked Death Eaters, and Aragog's lair. Continue to Platform 9¾ to see the Hogwarts Express, before walking through Diagon Alley, home to Ollivanders Wand Shop and more than 17,000 individually labelled wand boxes.
The Animatronics
See some of the series' best-known magical creatures, including Buckbeak the Hippogriff and the Basilisk from The Chamber of Secrets. Learn how a combination of practical effects and visual effects brought these characters to life on screen.
The Art Department
View the detailed Hogwarts Castle model, originally constructed by a team of 86 artists and crew members and later enhanced with digital effects for the films. The exhibition also includes handcrafted items such as potion textbooks, Hogwarts acceptance letters, and copies of the Daily Prophet.
The Props
See a collection of original film props, including the Elder Wand, Golden Snitch, the 950 unique potion jars from the Potions Classroom, 900 memory vials from Professor Dumbledore's office, and the 130 decorative plates displayed in Professor Umbridge's office.
The Special Effects
Learn how green screen technology was used throughout the films to create many of the Wizarding World's memorable scenes. There is also the opportunity to experience a broomstick flying demonstration using the same filming techniques employed in the movies.
