Please speak to the Golden Tours rep at the Studio for that day's bus timings.
The Sets
Explore the Forbidden Forest through a gate guarded by masked Death Eaters and encounter Aragog’s lair. Other highlights include Platform 9¾ with the Hogwarts Express, and Diagon Alley, home to Ollivander's Wand Shop and over 17,000 individually labelled wand boxes.
The Animatronics
Discover Buckbeak the Hippogriff, one of the book's most loved creatures (after Hedwig, of course)! And dare to see the terrifying Basilisk that lived within The Chamber of Secrets. Created with a mix of practical and visual effects.
The Art Department
See the incredible Hogwarts Castle model. A team of 86 artists and crew members built the first version of the castle, which was enhanced with digital effects to create the realistic views of the school. Other hand-made items to see include potion textbooks, acceptance letters, and the Daily Prophet.
The Props
Admire the impressive collection of original props, from iconic items like the Elder Wand and Golden Snitch to the 950 unique potion jars in the Potions Classroom, 900 memory vials in Professor Dumbledore’s office, and the 130 decorative plates in Professor Umbridge’s pink office.
The Special Effects
Learn how green screens played a huge part in creating the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and why not hop onto a broom yourself and try your hand at Quidditch?
