Beautifully decorated State Rooms are transformed with sparkling trees, ornaments, mistletoe and glittering displays. At the same time, a larger-than-life storybook leads you through Cinderella's magical journey to a spectacular Christmas wedding finale.
Outside, discover the world-class Illuminated Trail, where more than a million lights illuminate the gardens. Wander beneath glowing treetops, admire shimmering waterfalls and enjoy festive music as new surprises appear around every corner. Be sure to keep an eye out for a special appearance from Santa!
Take in breathtaking views from the festive Observation Wheel, overlooking the Palace and its beautifully decorated grounds, before gliding across the iconic Great Court Ice Rink at The Great Skate.

Getting here:
Public Transport: Nearest bus stop is opposite the main gates. Nearest railway stations are Oxford (9.1 miles), Oxford Parkway (6.2 miles) and Long Hanborough (3 miles). Step-free access to the first courtyard, which is then gravel and cobbles through to the courtyards.
Car Parking: Parking on the day is subject to availability and costs £12.00. Accessible parking available at Hensington main car park. Please inform staff at the kiosks. Distance to entrance is 246 meters.
Taxi/Drop-off Area: What3Words: shorten.flaunting.mercy. Please inform a member of staff at the kiosk, who will direct you to the nearest vehicle drop-off point.
Additional Information
- You will receive an e-ticket for this activity.
- The Illuminated Trail is approximately 2.98km and follows a natural route with varying gradients and uneven surfaces. Whilst every effort is made to make the trail accessible, some areas may be more challenging during adverse weather conditions. Additional stewards will be available to assist where required.
- All outlets are cashless. Card payments accepted only.
- Food and drink is available for purchase in the courtyards. There are also two cafes and a restaurant serving a range of dishes.
- Customers are welcome to purchase additional items not included in their package. These will be available to purchase on site at an additional cost.
- If this activity is cancelled, the decision will be taken as early as possible on the day. You will be informed via SMS Text Message, and you will also be sent an email outlining the options available to you.
