Description
Located in Covent Garden, the all-new Guinness Open Gate Brewery is an immersive experience set in a beautifully restored historic building with a strong focus on sustainability. The attraction brings brewing back to one of London’s most iconic neighbourhoods.
The 90-minute guided tour is led by Guinness beer experts who will share the story behind the brand and its return to this famous location, which was once home to a brewery under the name Combe & Co. The journey begins with ‘stepping into the pint,’ a 360° immersive experience that dives into Guinness’s heritage and Covent Garden brewing history.
You’ll then explore the working microbrewery, where innovation takes centre stage. While the classic Guinness stout is still brewed exclusively at St. James’s Gate in Dublin, this site is dedicated to experimentation, producing a range of small-batch and seasonal beers. Watch the brewers at work as they create Porters, IPAs, Ales, and other unique styles right on-site.
The tour continues to the second-floor Tasting Room, where you’ll enjoy a guided sampling session led by a knowledgeable brand ambassador in a relaxed setting.
The tour will finish at Bar 232°, where you’ll be shown how to pour your own perfect pint of Guinness – a fun and useful skill to take away with you. Sláinte!
As a Golden Tours guest, you’ll also receive 10% off food at Porter’s Table or Gilroy’s Loft after your tour. Mention Golden Tours when you arrive.
