Description
Explore the ‘City of Dreaming Spires’ on this Oxford University and City Walking Tour. Led by a knowledgeable local guide, you will see some of the city’s most famous landmarks and, if selected, even enter one of the famed colleges.
The 2-hour walking tour will take you down ancient, cobbled streets and alleys and back in time to learn about the rich history of the stunning city. From the Saxons to the present day, Oxford has 1,400 years to unlock and discover.
You will see iconic landmarks such as Radcliffe Square, including the Radcliffe Camera and the University Church of St Mary the Virgin, The Bridge of Sighs, Bodleian Library – featured in the Harry Potter film series, Martyrs Memorial, the Covered Market, and Broad Street, just to name a few!
As you walk by the popular sights, your professional guide will provide facts and anecdotes about the area and its famous alumni. From authors and inventors to UK Prime Ministers, the college town has housed and taught many successful and well-known people.
Your local guide will bring their own flair and style to the tour, as they complete their own research, making each tour unique and exciting.
