Description
Starting in Edinburgh, you will head towards the Kelpies – the first stop of the day on your Loch Lomond, Stirling Castle & The Kelpies tour.
Sitting at 30m high, the marvellous equine sculptures are the largest in the world and depict mythical creatures from Scottish folklore. Learn about their importance from your expert guide, snap plenty of photos and stand in awe at the foot of the marvellous designs.
Once you have your perfect picture, you will travel towards the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. One of the most beautiful and largest lochs in all of the country, you can enjoy an hour-long cruise taking in the amazing views of the islands and surrounding mountains before hopping back on the bus and continuing through the Trossachs National Park.
Also known as the ‘Highlands in Miniature’, the Trossachs National Park has an abundance of lochs, mountains and forests and is famous for the legendary Rob Roy MacGregor. You will spend time exploring the area and learning about its history before stopping for lunch in a lovely small village.
You will then make your way through the town of Callander, past the medieval Doune Castle and then onto Stirling Castle. One of Scotland’s most historically significant fortresses, it sits high on volcanic rock and offers amazing views of the surrounding landscape.
Explore the castle and learn about the historical figures connected to it, from William Wallace to Robert the Bruce and Mary Queen of Scots. There is plenty to see and do at Stirling Castle, and it is a must-visit location for all visitors to Scotland. The tour will then head back to Edinburgh, where it will end.
