Salisbury By Rail
Explore the gorgeous city of Salisbury at your own pace with this handy day trip by train. Start off at Waterloo Station at 8.20am, where you’ll meet a Golden Tours representative at the Information Desk (next to Platform 12), and receive a welcome pack with all you’ll need for the day. The train departs at 8.50am, so sit back in your seat and relax as you zoom through the gorgeous sights of the English countryside. Once you arrive in Salisbury, the beautiful city is yours to explore for the day.
This stunning example of early English architecture has the tallest church spire in the UK, the oldest working clock in the world and the best preserved original copy of the Magna Carta – the 800 year old historical document that stated that everybody, including the King, was subject to law. Explore inside, taking in the incredibly beautiful interior, intricate sculptures and colourful stained glass.
Trains return to London every hour until approximately 10pm, so simply head back to London when you’re ready!
