Description
Step inside the world of ancient Egypt’s most renowned ruler – Ramses II. Having ruled for almost seventy years, he transformed the landscape of ancient Egypt and left a legacy unmatched by any ruler of the ancient world. And now is your chance to learn more about him and discover never-before-seen in the UK artefacts.
In partnership with Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities, and direct from the Egyptian Museum, Ramses and the Pharaohs’ Gold showcases over 180 artefacts shown for the first time in the UK.
Located at Battersea Power Station, London, the exhibition is an opportunity to witness the power and vision of Ramses II and the lasting legacy of the Egyptian King.
See more than 180 artefacts, including the cedar Coffin of Ramses II, a colossal statue of Ramses II, gold and silver coffins from the royal tombs of Tanis, the Mask of King Amenemope, preserved animal mummies and amulets, jewellery, carvings, stone heads, and more.
What makes this exhibition so special? None of the artefacts are replicas or reconstructions; they are all original works created more than 3,000 years ago.
As you journey through the golden age of Egypt, learn about the life of kings, burial rituals, preservation techniques, and more. This Ancient Egypt Exhibition in London is not to be missed!
