Start your guided day tour in Edinburgh, on the world famous Royal Mile. Head north passing the magnificent Stirling Castle. As we continue, we drive through Rob Roy country, as you hear tales of the Scottish outlaw who was born in Sterling in 1671 and was known as the Scottish Robin Hood.

We cross Rannoch Moor before we stop at dramatic Glencoe. This is the scene of the infamous massacre which started on 13th February 1692, led by John Graham. We then drive further north, passing through the largest town in the Highlands, Fort William. Before passing Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis, on our way to the Great Glen.

Arriving at the south-east banks of Loch Ness, we find Fort Augustus. Here you able to take a boat cruise on the loch, will you be able to see the famous Loch Ness monster? Alternatively, if looking for monsters is not for you, you have the chance to take a relaxing walk or just gaze into the Caledonian Canal in this beautiful Highland village.

We then start our return to Edinburgh, passing the 7 mile long freshwater Loch Laggan before climbing over the Drumochter Pass, which is the main mountain pass between the northern and southern central Highlands. We then continue south, enter Perthshire, home to Scone Palace and Balhousie Castle. Before arriving back into Edinburgh, there is still time to view the spectacular Forth Bridges
