Description
Located in Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery is open all year round and boasts an impressive collection of 2,600 paintings from the likes of Vincent van Gogh, Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, and Claude Monet.
On the Highlights Tour with a Gallery-approved Blue Badge Guides, you will explore the history and stories of the collections, masterpiece by masterpiece. Among the greatest is Van Gogh’s ‘Sunflowers’ — one of his most famous paintings. Did you know that there are five different versions of this painting, and all are located in different museums around the world?
The Gallery is also home to Caravaggio’s ‘The Supper at Emmaus’, which depicts the moment Jesus’ disciples realise they are in the presence of the resurrected Christ. Other masterpieces include Leonardo da Vinci’s ‘The Virgin of the Rocks’ and ‘Bathers at Asnières’ by George Seurat.
Children's Art Tour
Capture your kids' creativity with a tour specially tailored for them. With a Blue Badge Guide, you can explore and enjoy art with the whole family, and help unleash your kids' inner artist with hands-on sketching and activities among the masterpieces on display.
Afternoon Tea
Following your tour, you will make your way to our brand-new restaurant, Ochre, for a scrumptious Afternoon Tea experience. Expect freshly baked scones with Cornish clotted cream and strawberry jam. Delight in seasonal pastries and cakes including éclairs, macarons, and Victoria sponge cake. It’s not all sweet, though, as there will also be a selection of sandwiches showcasing the very best of British ingredients. No afternoon tea would be complete without fresh loose tea and barista coffee.

- Pictures at the Gallery are moved regularly. The pictures you can see in the images might not always be included in your selected tour.
- Cancellation policy. A full refund can only be given if tickets are cancelled at least 14 days in advance.
- If you have selected Afternoon Tea, dietary requirements must be received 72 hours (three working days) before the booking date.
- You will receive an e-ticket for this tour.

From March 2026, the Children's Tours will be on Sundays only.
Start point: Your tour will begin at the Sainsbury Wing, the National Gallery’s main entrance on Trafalgar Square (WC2N 5DN). After passing through security, please proceed to the Tours Meeting Point in the Sainsbury Wing Foyer on the ground floor (Level 0), located on the right-hand side near the staircase. You will meet your guide at the clearly marked meeting point with a Tours sign. Your guide will be wearing a yellow Official National Guide badge.
