Step into the magical world of Harry Potter on this extensive Oxford walking tour. Perfect for families and fans of all ages, you will be led by a friendly and knowledgeable guide and explore some of the city’s most iconic locations that inspired and featured in the beloved film series.
Walk through the historic streets of Oxford as you visit famous landmarks such as the Divinity School, part of the renowned Bodleian Library. Dating back to 1427, this stunning medieval hall appeared in several Harry Potter scenes and was used as the Hogwarts infirmary and the dance floor from the Yule Ball!
You’ll also pass through the atmospheric Old Schools Quadrangle, home to ancient academic halls including the ‘Schola Metaphysicae.’
As the tour continues, admire the grand exterior of Christ Church. Its magnificent dining hall inspired the Great Hall at Hogwarts, and its impressive staircase was also featured in some of the early film scenes. Your guide will point out the hall as you walk by the college.
At New College, you’ll see the cloisters and grounds used in memorable moments, including the scene where Draco Malfoy is turned into a ferret.
Along the way, your guide will share fascinating behind-the-scenes insights and stories about Oxford’s connections to the wizarding world, as well as recommend other magical spots to visit to make the most of your Harry Potter Oxford adventures.
