Description

Celebrate New Year’s Eve in true London fashion on board the Wellington vessel for the ultimate River Thames boat party. Enjoy an electric atmosphere and amazing views of London’s lit-up skyline, as well as the all-important fireworks to kick off 2026. 

This isn’t just any NYE Thames Cruise; located only a short walk from Temple Station, HMS Wellington has been an iconic feature on the River Thames since 1948. The impressive ship is a stately, non-moving vessel, and the ideal spot to see the Thames from the upper deck. The Wellington is well-positioned, giving you an excellent view of the New Year's Eve fireworks display. 

Once on board, you will be greeted with a welcome drink and another one when the clock strikes midnight. You will enjoy an array of delicious canapés, as well as a fully stocked bar where you can purchase additional drinks throughout the night. The resident DJ will have you up on your feet and dancing with great tunes and live entertainment well into the night - keep an eye out for the golden showgirls, mirrorman and the mirrorball head!

Before midnight, head to the upper deck and take full advantage of the prime position offered. Be awed by the spectacular fireworks display over at the London Eye. Raise your glass of fizz and toast to an unforgettable New Year’s Eve and a wonderful 2026 to come. 

Additional Information

Due to anticipated road closures on 31st December, all guests are required to wear a wristband to access blocked areas and reach the designated meeting point. You may collect your wristband through one of the following options: 

Golden Tours Baker Street Visitor Centre (Highly recommended)
Location: 144 Marylebone Rd, London NW1 5PH
Dates: From 27th December – 30th December (ONLY)
Hours: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Strand Palace Hotel
Location: 372 Strand, London WC2R 0JJ
Date: On the 31st December (ONLY)
Hours: 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM
Please visit the Golden Tours desk opposite the reception.

The Strand Palace Hotel is a 10-minute walk from the pier. To reach the hotel, we recommend taking the tube to Covent Garden Station, which is outside the closure zone, and then walking to the hotel.

  • Cancellations and amendments are no longer available.
  • Roads may close early in preparation for the fireworks display.
  • Golden Tours Representatives will be on hand when arriving
  • Dress to impress. No trainers. 
  • A valid ID must be presented when purchasing alcohol.
  • This event is for 21+ years only, and you might be required to show ID. Failure to show ID will result in your refusal of entry on the night, and no refunds will be given.
  • The vessel remains stationary throughout the evening and offers great views of the fireworks.
  • Please be aware that luggage and large bags of any type will not be allowed on the vessel.
  • The best viewing point will be on the upper deck.

Schedule

Date of departure: 31st December

Location: Temple Stairs, Victoria Embankment, London WC2R 2PN

When: Arrive from 7:45pm. Last entry is at 9:30pm. No re-admission once you have boarded. 

Food: Canapés will be served until 10:30pm 

End Time: Approx. 1am
