Bringing together more than 300 pieces of work spanning the entirety of Pablo Picasso’s career, Picasso and Paper looks intimately at the life and art of one of the best loved artists of the 20th century.

Fascinated by the endless potential of paper as a medium, Picasso experimented with everything from café tablecloths and newspaper cuttings to antique papers with distinctive watermarks.

The exhibit will display prints and paper sculptures, rarely-seen sketch books and illustrated poems that reveal fascinating insights in to the iconic creative’s life, as well as unique documentary footage offering a rare glimpse of a genius at work. Visitors will be able to see how Picasso's creative process evolved, including studies for one of his greatest works, Guernica,  as well as the 4.8 metre collage Femmes à leur toilette, shown in the UK for the first time in 50 years.
