    Description

London is home to some of the UK’s most amazing palaces, and this two hour walking tour will show you arguably the most famous and iconic of them all, Buckingham Palace. With 775 rooms and, along with the gardens, taking up the space of 39 acres, Buckingham Palace is the symbol of the Royal Family in the UK. You will be able to marvel at the Palace and the Queen Victoria Fountain before meandering around the tranquil landscaped grounds of St James’s Park, in the heart of ceremonial London.

You will walk in Parliament Square lined by trees and statues of well-known statesmen including Winston Churchill, Abraham Lincoln and Nelson Mandela. Just a stone’s throw away you’ll see the spectacular Westminster Abbey, a royal church and the burial ground for the monarchy and the likes of Charles Darwin, Sir Isaac Newton and Stephen Hawking to name a few.

Just across the road lies the Palace of Westminster, or as it’s more commonly known, The Houses of Parliament. The most iconic part of the palace though is the Elizabeth II Tower, named in honour of our majesty to celebrate her 60th year of reign, and more commonly referred to as Big Ben.

Be sure to have your cameras at the ready to capture the London Eye from across the river as your knowledgeable guide leads you through the heart of Westminster seeing other famous Royal residences such as St. James’s Palace, which includes Clarence House, the London home of Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.

Other stops on this unmissable walking tour include Churchill’s WWII Bunker, The Household Cavalry Museum, a living museum in the heart of Horse Guards Parade, and Admiralty Arch.

London’s Palaces and Parliament Walking Tour starts  at 12:00pm and will end at approximately 2:00pm
